Best Refrigerator – Bottom–Freezer, Top Freezer, French Door, and

Best Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Overall:
Bottom freezer models are actually quite different from French door designed refrigerators. Looking around the web, you wouldn't believe it as the two are categorized as one or both. But as an appliance reviewer, and as a fan of the bottom freezer style, I've always tried to make the difference known. French doors have two doors, while bottom freezers have just one, larger door.It may sound simple, but it means the world of difference in build, quality and design. One large door creates a much cleaner surface, and many people prefer the less cluttered design as compared to a French door model. The following list is composed of the best bottom freezer models, as determined by capacity, design, quality and price.

Best Budget Bottom Freezer Refrigerator:
The truth is, budget bottom freezer refrigerators are a hard item to get your hands on. Bottom freezer refrigerators are already a hard-to-find model, sandwiched in between the extremely popular French door models and the budget friendly top freezer models. That limited popularity leads to less models being purchased, making it harder to find good deals. However, while it may be hard, it's not impossible to find a good deal on a budget bottom freezer refrigerator. I have sought out and found some of the best, all with the requirement that they come in under , 000. /span>

Coming in between $800 and $900, this option from Amana offers a lower scale quality, but decent operation and plenty of space. You can't expect the world at this price level, but you can expect a lot of good years out of this Amana refrigerator. Read Full Review

Best Side-by-Side Refrigerator Overall:
The mainstream market has become obsessed with French door refrigerators. It seems to have forgotten about the excellent, more spacious world of side-by-side models. Their design is inherently more forgiving in terms of space, and while you should expect to pay big bucks for a French door of 25 cubic feet, it's not uncommon to see a very reasonably priced side-by-side refrigerator with 25 cubic feet of space.

Where to get a nice, wood front door
Anyone know where to get a nice wood exterior door? I am looking for a wood front door. I don't want anything that looks like a castle door, but nothing like the junk at home depot either. I see some houses here in LA with simple wood doors, or some with carving in them. I am looking for a door that is simple, with character. No large glass parts, mostly solid wood.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

I have a side door to my home that always get snow drifts, you get wet when it rains, and the wind blows so strong you can hardly get the door open. What do you call the structure that is built around the door?
Welll this is called a mud room and the door has a thing called a door jam
