Closet renovations, doors or no doors?

We had a closet company come in and renovate our closets. They're great!
My question is this: The doors we have for them are the dual-sliders with mirrors. The doors are nice for mirrors, and keeping everything tidy and put away.
Rooms always look more cluttered with open closets, but people seem to like our new closets without doors so I'm just not sure. (sorry the pics are huge and two won't stay rotated for some reason! appologies)
So, doors or no doors?

So should we do our closets or french doors

First? bathroom is too much for what we want to spend right now.
lady came from closet world today. I really liked her and it was only $1300 to do our closets in master bedroom. then I looked at the company reviews:(
french doors or sliding doors (not sure yet which one we want) might cost $2500? at least that's what was told for a very loose over the phone estimate.
all of it is old now

If you have sliding closet doors..

I'd check the closets. My cat has always been an expert at sliding closet doors open and hiding... and it doesn't take much room for them to sneak in!
another hiding spot for my cat is behind the oven. He can open the cupboard door and there's this giant hole in there that leads to behind the stove so maybe your cat found a spot to sneak back there?

  • Avatar broklee rob Sliding closet doors..... how much?
Jan 11, 2009 by broklee rob | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling

I want to replace my current closet doors with 2 sliding mirror doors. The exact measurement of my closet is 75" x 95". Because of my lack of knowledge on these things, I am afraid of getting ripped off. So before I go talking to any salesmen, I would like to get an idea of how much this would cost. Any ideas? Any suggestions? (PS: I live in NYC).

    • As others have said, call Home Depot or Lowes, you've got 2 HD's in Manhattan & others in the surrounding boroughs. Lowes is less populated & none that I know of in Manhattan yet.

Any installations …ng for their top installation contractor, you will have a better chance of not having any problems later.

However, if you don't mind a floor track, it would be possible to use a bottom tracked door system.
